About Eileen Murl

Eileen Murl is an independent jewellery brand creating distinctive, handcrafted pieces using 100% recycled 925 sterling silver.

Each piece is individually made by me, Eileen, with a focus on thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and the natural beauty of silver. Rather than striving for perfect uniformity, I embrace the subtle characteristics of the handmade process - creating jewellery with individuality, character and a story of its own.

My Story

My journey into jewellery making began way back during ‘Lockdown’ when one evening I began pulling apart my ‘shop-bought’ broken necklaces and bracelets, whilst paying attention to how they were constructed. Over time I continued experimenting and learning how to make bracelets, earrings, bracelets. I’m completely self-taught. It became my passion!  I wanted to create jewellery that would not break after just a few wears.

After I had honed my craft, I felt confident enough to sell my handmade beaded jewellery at craft fairs, (which was well received) and to churchgoers, after Sunday service!

With a love of creating pieces by hand. Over time, this developed into a passion for traditional silversmithing and the wonderful possibilities of working with sterling silver.

Today, I create my jewellery from my small studio, using traditional techniques such as forging, forming, soldering and texturing. I particularly love working directly with the metal, allowing a design to develop naturally as it is shaped by hand.

There is something very special about beginning with a simple piece of silver and transforming it into jewellery that someone may wear and treasure for many years.

Inspired by Faith & the World Around Me

My Christian faith is an important influence behind Eileen Murl Jewellery.

Some designs draw inspiration from meaningful Christian symbols and forms, while others are influenced more subtly by the shapes, textures and patterns found in the natural world.

Circles, crosses, flowing lines, asymmetry and organic forms often find their way into my work. My aim is not simply to create something decorative, but jewellery that can carry meaning, symbolism and personal significance for the person wearing it.

Made Slowly. Made Thoughtfully

In a world of mass-produced jewellery, I believe there is still something incredibly valuable about knowing that an object has been made by a real person.

My pieces are created in small quantities rather than mass produced. I love to make one-of-a-kind pieces too. Many are individually hand-forged, meaning subtle variations are part of their character and make each piece beautifully individual.

I choose to work with 100% recycled sterling silver, allowing me to create lasting jewellery while making a more considered choice about the materials I use.

Jewellery That Is Uniquely Yours

I want Eileen Murl Jewellery to feel quietly distinctive - elegant without being ordinary, meaningful without being overstated, and made to be worn rather than simply admired.

Whether you choose a piece because of its symbolism, its organic form or simply because it speaks to you, I hope it becomes something you reach for time and again.

Handcrafted. Meaningful. Distinctively yours.
